Welcome, Kittery Residents!
This is your support area, where
miscellaneous features which don't fit seamlessly in a room within the
Kittery itself will go.
Mostly, we have several features
for the convenience of residents which needed to be grouped somewhere,
so this is it. If you're trying to think of a way to accomplish
something, and can't, come by here and you may find a solution already
in place.
As always, feel free to
contact us if you
have any questions or suggestions. We live to serve! :)

Kind folks often ask if there's
anything they can do -- well, we
finally
have an answer!

Miscellaneous Tools for Kittery
Residents: |
Below you can upload an image file
to our servers so you can use it in
posts/etc. in our communities, and
you can upload a file to us
privately.
Uploading images to use in your
posts:
It's a regular connundrum
for folks that aren't used to
working with files on websites, to
get a picture they want to use in a
post up somewhere. So I've set up an
area and a facility that allow you
to upload picture files from your
computer, to my server, so you can
include them in your posts if you
wish.
To have your image
appear in a post, simply include the
following:

where you replace
FILENAME with the image file you
just uploaded. For example, if you'd
just uploaded the image file "Mypicture.gif",
then you'd insert

(and the filename
is case-sensitive)
Feel free to
write me if you need any further
help
Uploading
files privately to us:
If you've a file you wish to send to
us privately, please use this link
rather than emailing it. (Between
spam and spam-filters, file
attachments have become a bad idea,
IMHO).
You'll find a simple routine for
choosing your file on your own
computer, which will then be
uploaded to my private inbox on our
server. (As indicated, please leave
a quick note with the name of the
file and who you are).
