The Kittery is hosting its First Annual Halloween Costume Contest!  If you're the type who saves up sheets and toilet paper all year long to make a killer costume for All Hallows Eve, why not  submit your digital pic to us at halloween@BacksideOfLove.com and get in the running for fablous prizes, untold riches, and the Osmond of your choice!!!  <okay, so we're old . . . >

Rulez:

1) Must be a digital picture of a G.I. Resident (Snuggery or Kittery) - so please be holding a sign that says GI so that we know you're not an imposter, and let us know your Snuggery or Kittery nickname in your email, please.

2) If your face is not already obscured by a mask or make up, and you'd like us to do that for you, just let us know.

3) Submissions will be accepted until 11/3, since we're starting this a little late. Email to <halloween@BacksideOfLove.com>.

Judging:

The Kittery moderators will vote on all the entries - and any moderator who is joining the contest will be recused from voting.  The top five of their picks will be voted on by the rest of the Kittery.

No, we decided to keep it simple this time, although we have other fun contests in the works! I used to have regular contests and games (even had a real video arcade at one time!) on GI, and we're going to start doing community-type stuff like that again. But for this one, we're just going for the overall costume, no matter what category it is. (And yeah, probably make sense to treat you two as one picture/entrant since you're to be complimentary characters).

Well, part of the problem was that I didn't get the prizes re-permissioned in time, which is about not thinking of this until too late. I'd originally pitched the idea over in the Snuggery, and gotten several prize donation offers from folks. But since one of the nicer prize donation offers was from a resident for her adult toy store, and since it turned out that me participating over there again wasn't an okay idea as I'd hoped, I decided to move it over here... But by the 1st I didn't have permission from all the prize donators (for a 1st, 2nd, 3rd prize) to offer them over on this side, and only one submission... so... My fault for not thinking of it sooner, and fumbling on where to have it.   Those who have to make decisions don't necessarily make better decisions than anyone else would, you know... Sad but true. So: How about if we just showcase your costume, as well as our actual entrant (Sammy_Baby)? Will you go ahead and send it in?? I used to have a GI "fridge", where people could send in pictures of themselves or their dogs or drawings or whatever, and I had them pinned on the drawing of a fridge as if it was in our communal kitchen. During a move from one incarnation of GI to another one, that didn't come along, but maybe we should recreate it? What do you think? I'd like to see your costume, and anyone else that made one, too! ps) i inc'd a pic of my dog wearing Daddy's wolf mask instead of Daddy, it's hilarious although he hated it...the bacon treat was well worth it!

since i am baby baileys older part i think i can write here for her and she wont mind all that much.

the puppy (bailey) someone wanted his name for her online name. geesh....  anyway Daddy and her took him to a pet costume contest at Petco here in Florida and he won first place and is entered into a contest to win a year supply of dog food.. but if he wins it I am gonna give it to our sister sugrabritchez cause she is doing a dog rescue right now with the Katrena Hurricane mess that we had here in New Orleans and she took in 4 or 5 dogs and prolly needs it more then we do.
