Gatherings

Our RumpUsRooms are available for organized gatherings, and we've some special features we can offer.

If you'd like to have a social gathering, or a meeting, we can help out with these features:

• Arranging a special, dedicated room for your gathering, without the distraction of all the other rooms, or necessity for your guests to get to a particular room among the others, and with most distractions like the announcements at the top of the regular chatrooms, etc.
  
  
• A Master of Ceremonies feature that will display a "chalkboard" at the top of the room, where you can pose questions or give instructions that stand out clearly to all, so what you say isn't lost in the rooms ongoing discussion.
  
  
• Reminders of your event inserted into the regular welcome message for the chatrooms a day or two before the actual event.
  
  
• Making sure you have moderator powers in your room, to gag or boot troublemakers, on the odd chance that you have any.
• Placing info notices about your gathering on the Official Announcements board and on the Meeting Schedule page that appears on the chatroom front door, and is one of the main links at the top of the main chatroom
  
  
• Anything else you can think of, that we can work out!
  

If you've arranged for a meeting with us, please observe just a couple of guidelines, to keep things organized:

• If you wish to post an announcement of your own, in addition to the above announcement help we'd be glad to offer, please just post it one or two days before your event. Posting them much earlier isn't effective because of the time gap, and we'd rather not have the same announcements from Residents being posted over and over.
  
  
• Making sure you have moderator powers in your room, to gag or boot troublemakers, on the odd chance that you have any.
  
  
• Anything else you can think of, that we can work out!
